Job Description

Position Overview

The HR and administrative Officer will be accountable for managing the daily Human resources processes, making sure efficient Human resources rules, standardized processes, and procedures are executed. The position requires robust competence in workplace engagement, hiring process, adherence, learning & development, expatriate management, and Human resources management within a production operations environment.

Learning & Development:

  • Deliver session needs evaluation and design learning programs for ability advancement.
  • Arrange within and outside the organization development workshops for employees at all levels.
  • Track performance of capacity-building plans and effect on effectiveness.

Expatriate Management:

  • Manage expatriate hiring process, orientation, and onboarding.
  • Oversee work licenses, visas, and immigration recordkeeping for expatriate employees.
  • Assist expatriates with cultural consolidation and guarantee adherence with local expatriate rules.

Health, Safety & Adherence:

Work alongside Health, safety, and environment team to advance a safe and conducive operating environment. Ensure Human resources procedures adhere with work legal provisions, health & safety rules, and international guidelines.

Credentials & Qualifications

  • Bsc in HR Management, Industrial Relations, Business Management, or a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years Human resources expertise, with a minimum of 2 years in production operations sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in expatriate management, which includes visa/employment authorization processing.
  • Membership of a identified Human resources specialist body (e.g., CIPM, CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Nigerian work legal provisions and Human resources industry standards.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, information exchange, and bargaining ability.
  • Capability to operate independently, assign priorities to tasks, and oversee various participants.
