Chef at Kids Court School (KCS) in Lagos

Duties

• Preserve a clean and structured kitchen in accordance with food safety and sanitation standardized processes
• Assist stock management, which includes receiving supplies, checking inventory levels, and rotating food inventory
• Work alongside team to strategy menus that meet dietary qualifications and student preferences
• Engage with students in a positive manner, supporting healthy eating habits and culinary education
• Engage in learning sessions to improve culinary competencies and keep up with food safety rules
• Help in the project setup and cooking of meals according to established recipes and diet-focused standard procedures

Qualifications

• Interested applicants should have an SSCE / GCE / NECO / OND certification with 2-10 years work expertise.
• Basic expertise in food project setup methods and kitchen safety
• Capability to chef delicious and diversity of meals
• Capability to manage large cooking of 150- 200 people plus routine
• Capability to operate productively in a collaborative environment
• Competence in using kitchen tools which includes Gas, ovens, stoves, and food processors
• Comprehension of food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures
• Basic math competencies for measuring ingredients and portion regulate
