Position Overview

Offer technical support to the state governments in Kaduna, Borno, Yobe and Adamawa in strengthening education sector synchronization with upgraded capacity to formulate, execute and assess data-informed, result-oriented, gender-sensitive, disability-welcoming, crisis-responsive education sector strategies.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in educational studies, international development, community-related sciences or other applicable fields.
  • A minimum of five years of expertise in assisting multi-participant education sector synchronization.
  • A minimum of five years of expertise in carrying out and assisting education sector evaluation, which includes the collection and evaluate of education data.
  • A minimum of five years of expertise in assisting the government in conceptualizing, executing and analyzing education sector strategies and crisis responses.
  • Exhibited proficiency and expertise in offering development and mentoring to government officers in low-earnings and middle-earnings countries on education organizing and management.
  • Fluency in English with robust documented and spoken communication competencies.

Desirables: Competencies:

  • Experiences in assisting education sector development and synchronization in an crisis circumstance.
  • Expertise in operating with UNICEF or international entities.
  • Experiences in operating on development projects financed by international donors.
  • Expertise in operating in Nigeria or other sub-Saharan African countries.
