Primary goal
Execute clinical laboratory initiatives according to MSF procedures, guard, and hygiene measures in order to achieve outcomes that orient diagnosis, assist patient supervising, and case management.
Role summary
- According to medical prescription, to organize and execute clinical exams/tests with suitable methods and following MSF procedures and standardized processes. This operation comprises, among others:
- Taking blood and bodily fluid, and tissue samples.
- Project setup of test sample examples by centrifuging blood and urine samples.
- Executing laboratory exams (serology, hematology, biochemistry, bacteriology, or parasitology, according to the circumstance of the purpose).
- Making sure proper status updates and registration of the sample outcomes in order to keep a documented track of activity and offer information to the applicable persons, making sure secrecy.
- Taking care, coordinating, and arranging productively the laboratory material/tools:
- Execute cleaning and minor servicing & maintenance for the biomedical tools used. Following the end-user guides and procedures, and warn the manager in case of malfunctioning
- Submitting application hygiene and safety procedures, doing routine cleaning /servicing & maintenance, sterilization, and washing general glassware after standardized processes are done.
- Making sure proper sample waste disposal according to MSF procedures and highest safety guidelines.
- Supplying orders, do inventory, storage terms client engagement, and keep stock.
- Keeping structured the data collection system of laboratory outcomes and all information produced from the evaluation done.
- Status updates supporting information linked to the activity in the laboratory to the direct supervisor, especially the loss/robbery/loss of laboratory tools or medicines.
- Engage in the morning medical sessions and ensure handover is done before departing the service
- Making sure expertise in current MSF Procedures, rules, and standard procedures.
- Engage in on-the-position and other laboratory-associated development sessions for both lab and non-lab employees.
- Issuing out precise and dependable laboratory test outcomes to respective wards/units without delay
- Engage in transfusion initiatives, which includes blood transfusion file evaluate.
- Engage in Standard enhancement employees sessions whenever necessary to do so.
- Any other circumstance-specific laboratory obligations as may be allocated by direct-line manager from time to time.
- Active involvement in other project initiatives and sessions
- Engage during the formation of reforms in operating plans.
Qualifications
- Teaching Certification: Crucial Lab technician Certification / Academic qualification.
- Expertise: At least 1 year operating expertise crucial.
- Languages: Purpose language preferred and local language crucial
- Expertise: Crucial computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
