Job Description

Objective of Position

The Chief, Regulatory framework, will collaborate with Regional Regulatory framework Head (RPL) and with VP3’s regional and sectoral pillars to supply the Bank’s transition mandate, concentrating on priority regulatory framework / thematic zones in the Sub-Saharan Africa region (SSA region). The Chief is anticipated to be capable to operate adaptively across all the Bank’s zones of concentration and to support to a coherent and comprehensive regulatory framework schedule in SSA.

Accountabilities & Duties

  • Assist the development of sector-specific reform schedules in zones which includes green transition, economic compliance, talent and equality of avenue, attractiveness, digitalisation, and capital markets development.
  • Support to evaluations of structural reform advancement and of economic effectiveness in the countries of the SSA region to prepare key Bank goods, which includes the Regional Economic Potential opportunities and the yearly Transition Documentation.
  • Support to the project setup of country diagnostics, in synchronization with country banking / VP3 teams; support to the project setup of country plans in the SSA region.
  • Assist the RPL in the project setup of the regulatory framework compacts for the SSA region.
  • Work on variety of financial record or projects, either serving as the key collaborator for more sophisticated or difficult investments or taking full duty to supply a particular regulatory framework plan / TC task, transaction assist or logical task.
  • Relying on the specific thematic zone / tasks assigned the Chief may be responsible for operating to assist Banking in the dispatch of specific investments (which includes engaging in Processes Board and Board demonstrations), supplying defined regulatory framework projects or targets, getting ready a sophisticated and complete analysis evaluation, or running largely autonomously a key managerial/data governance process that plays an key responsibility in assisting the dispatch of the Bank’s regulatory framework schedule in the region.
  • Offer strategic innovative on sectors where the Bank can improve effect and promote private capital mobilisation.
  • Head on the ground relation with within and outside the organization counterparts, which includes at top level governmental level, to improve the Bank’s transition targets in a specific thematic zone.
  • Stand for the Bank in external forums.
