Job Description
Duties
- Serve as the main communication link between DLE and group key stakeholders, making sure prompt and transparentcommunication on matters affecting the networks.
- Establish scheduled meetings with group delegates to discuss ongoing and upcomingprojects, and handle group matters.
- Convey DLE’s rules, social advancement strategies, and corporate socialresponsibility (CSR) programs to the networks in a clear and culturally suitable manner.
- Mediate disputes and handle employee concerns between DLE and the networks, finding solutionsthat are pleasant to both parties.
- Work proactively to prevent clashes by recognizing possibility group concerns early andaddressing them before they report to higher support tier.
- Execute and preserve operational structures for tracking and dealing with service issues or matters elevated bythe networks.
- Help in organizing and managing CSR projects that match with both DLE’s targets and thecommunities’ needs.
- Assist the supervising of these projects to guarantee they are productively supporting tocommunity development and dealing with any differences or matters.
- Ensure DLE follows possessing applicable public involvement rules and rules.
- Keep the executive team current on group-associated lawful qualifications and ensureadherence to these guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bsc in Community-related Sciences, Brand communications, Social advancement, or a relevant field.
- Accreditation in Brand communications, Community engagement, or from identified specialist bodies is a plus.
- At least 7 years’ expertise in group communication link/relations or similar positions, ideally in the petroleum sector, engineering, or building sectors.
- Expertise operating in the Niger Delta or with networks in high-dispute environments is highly preferred.
- Competence in local languages or dialects is a plus.
- Skilled in building respectful connections with networks, compelling participants, and navigating local customs and power systems.
- Verified ability to oversee and settle clashes, de-report to higher support tier tensions, and bargain practical, jointly advantageous initiatives.
- Clear articulation competencies, with the capability to participate multifaceted target groups transparently, empathetically, and productively.
- Robust partnership competencies, with a track document of operating efficiently with internal teams, Nonprofit organizations, and local governing bodies.
- Self-driven and outcomes-oriented, with sound judgment and the capability to remain formulated and specialist in sophisticated conditions.
