Group Hygiene Advocate at Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) - 90 Openings in Yola North, Yola South & Fufori - Adamawa

Role summary

Under the oversight of the Hygiene awareness Support/ WASH manager, the successful applicant will carry out hygiene awareness sessions concentrating on proper hand washing, safe excreta disposal, safe household water management, latrine usage and other key hygiene messages through House-to-House visits, Target group Discussions/group sessions, targeting group Leaderships/Local Champions (Group Key stakeholders, Women Key stakeholders, religious key stakeholders, elders etc.) to advance good hygiene procedures, discourage bad procedures, and Risk Information exchange (RCCE). Assist WASH Panels in carrying out disinfection marketing, and collect demographic data on the direction of the hygiene awareness support/WASH Manager.

Role summary

• Support to targeting recipients, supporting efficient use of latrines and safe water, checking in on hygiene kits, and Assisting the WASH team during the Allocation of hygiene and summarization kits.
• Carry out hygiene awareness messages through house-to-house Visiting, individual or group level; arrange group sessions, and carry out mass mobilization events.
• Carry out child-to-child hygiene awareness initiatives through dramas, songs, and other interactive methods by using IEC material, and Allocation and locating of IEC materials
• Client engagement visits to guarantee involvement of all class of the population, especially at risk/handicapped groups to guarantee involvement differences are bridged between the Group and LPF.
• Preserve a document of hygiene sessions and recipient records targeted through hygiene awareness initiatives on prescribed design frameworks by LPF on a routine basis.
• Carry out target group discussions and modify the WASH/Hygiene promotion (HP) Support and WASH/Hygiene promotion (HP) Officer on findings, hurdles, and lessons learned at the site level.
• Client engagement with the water management board, latrine cleaning board, women’s affiliation (as per circumstance), child group, and other participants to achieve community health advancement targets.
• Carry out mass Community health Advancement marketing (ecological cleaning, jerrycan cleaning, vector regulate, NFI presentation) whenever necessary.
• Engage in the execution of the mentioned activity with conformity to the accepted guidelines.
• Make sure that the properties in the place of work are respected and no loss is caused to them.
• Collaborate with Children, Women, and Men or employees around during their work in line with the LPF code of carry out or the humanitarian principles.
• MUST not use the role of being engaged in LPF to operate to gain favors or material advantage.
• Sustain consistent involvement and respectable conduct towards recipients or LPF employees as setback in this respect can automatically result in the termination of service.
• Follow execution guidelines, LPF ways of operating, and the terms of the LPF Code of Carry out; which includes a dedication to zero tolerance on SEA and the obligation to documentation SEA cases.
• Execute any other obligations that the officer or support in charge may allocate

The agreement period is 20 days. Only candidates who scale through the prerequisite terms will be invited for an interview.
