Position Overview

The Credit Evaluator will be in charge of analyzing credit data, evaluating the creditworthiness of possibility and current customers, and making strategic guidance to assist sound lending decisions. The preferred candidate will possess robust critical thinking, a sharp perception for description, and expertise in credit risk evaluation.

Primary duties

• Carry out thorough evaluation of balance sheet and income statement, credit documentation, and other applicable data to evaluate risk.
• Evaluate loan applications to verify qualification and repayment possibility.
• Endorse loan terms based on risk evaluation.
• Track current credit accounts to recognize advance notice signs of possibility default.
• Organize thorough credit documentation and report results for executive review.
• Guarantee adherence with organisation rules, compliance obligations, and standardized best practices.
• Work alongside the recovery team to oversee delinquent accounts.

Qualifications

• Bsc in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of expertise in credit evaluation, ideally in a financial technology, banking, or microfinance setting.
• Solid understanding of credit risk principles, lending rules, and financial evaluation.
• Outstanding logical, issue resolution, and strategic judgment competencies.
• Competence in Excel spreadsheet software and financial forecasting resources.
• Robust meticulousness and precision.
• Effective communication and documentation-skilled in writing.
