Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate, initiative-driven, and highly proficient School Counsellor and Academic support officer to join our team in Mende Maryland.
The preferred candidate will offer emotional, community-related, and academic direction to students, assisting them navigate hurdles, formulate positive coping competencies, and reach their maximum ability.
The counsellor will also collaborate with parents, teachers, and school executive guidance to advance student well-being and preserve a helpful school environment.

Offer one-on-one and group counselling sessions for students.
Recognize and assist students facing emotional, behavioural, community-related, or academic difficulties.
Formulate and execute direction programs that advance positive mental health and well-being.
Work alongside teachers, parents, and school management on student welfare concerns.
Preserve precise and private records of counselling sessions.
Arrange and coordinate workshops on topics which includes dispute settlement, profession direction, study competencies, and adaptability.
Address crisis conditions and offer suitable interventions.

Bsc in Counselling, Psychology, Education, or a relevant field (MSC is a plus).
Applicable accreditation or licensure as a counsellor is desirable.
At least 2 years’ expertise operating with children or adolescents, ideally in a school setting.
Clear articulation, interpersonal, and listening competencies.
Capability to protect privacy and manage sensitive matters competently.
Empathy, patience, and a authentic interest for operating with young people.
