Position Overview

The Trust Consultant will play a vital function in advising customers on trust and estate organizing plans, establishing and coordinating various trust systems, and making sure legal adherence and efficient fiduciary monitoring. The preferred candidate will bring a deep knowledge of trust law, customer connection management, and private wealth arranging.

Primary duties

• Framework and oversee trust structured in line with customer targets, tax effectiveness, and lawful qualifications
• Prepare and evaluate trust deeds, wills, and associated lawful documents in conjunction with lawful consultants
• Serve as a communication link between customers, recipients, lawful delegates, and internal teams
• Carry out trust and estate organizing sessions with high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional customers
• Ensure full legal adherence with SEC, CAC, and relevant trust legal provisions and standard procedures
• Track and evaluate trust effectiveness, supervise disbursements, and ensure fiduciary obligations are upheld
• Assist product development, which includes trust-based financial funding and estate organizing initiatives
• Supply demonstrations and stand for the firm at customer sessions, professional forums, and estate organizing events

Key Qualifications

• Bsc in Law, Finance, Estate Management, or relevant field (LLB, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent)
• A a member of a professional body in trust, wealth, or estate organizing is a plus.
• At least 5 years of operating expertise in trust management, fiduciary solutions, private wealth management, or estate organizing.
• Sound expertise in Nigerian trust legal provisions, estate organizing systems, probate standardized processes, and adherence frameworks
• Robust customer consultative and connection leadership abilities, especially with high-net-worth customers
• Competence in Ms office tools; trust accounting operational structures expertise will be an added advantage
• Proven expertise with sophisticated trust systems, which includes corporate or diaspora trusts.
