Position Overview
- Incumbent serves as Cook and Residence Manager in charge of the entire management of the Formal Residence; project setup of vegetarian and vegan meals (no meat – which includes no fish or chicken – is to be served inside the Formal Residence) in addition to culinary service for large-scale events; and oversight of the employees utilized therein.
- The incumbent also manages and delivers direction to Diplomatic office assistants and service providers on residence servicing & maintenance, and project setup for events at the CGR.
- The incumbent establishes, directs and manages the shift plan and effectiveness of a employees of two (2) Formal Residence Expenditure (ORE) employees operating for the Chief diplomat.
- Arranges on a weekly basis menus for vegetarian and vegan family meals.
- Proposes and arranges menu and financial plan for vegetarian and vegan representational dinners, events and receptions and is in charge of food procurement and project setup for those events.
- Helps other ORE employees with kitchen clean up which includes washing pots, pans, dishes, etc.
- Sustains pay accounts for the ORE employees. Keeps presence, which includes yearly depart days, over-time, and comp time.
- Manages the installation, fix and upkeep of residential furnishings, tools and appliances.
- Is in charge of the safekeeping and stock of food, beverages and household inventory for the residence.
- Sustains an stock of all residential crystal, flatware, silverware and llinens.
- In charge of preserving a document of expenditures and associated receipts linked to the upkeep of formal residence.
- Serves as communication link with the procedure workspace for formal processes held at the Residence and with the Finance Management Workspace on matters pertaining to ORE and expenditures.
- Serves as communication link with the HR Workspace in regard to recruiting and remuneration decision for all new ORE employees
- Helps in escorting service providers and guests at the Residence as may be necessary.
- Execute other obligations as may be directed
Qualifications
- Finalization of High school.
- At least five years of expertise as cook in culinary service or dining venue/service sector. Management or supervisory expertise is necessary.
- Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading of English is essential.
- Must be capable to chef a range of innovative, nutritious, and delicious vegetarian and vegan meals.
- Capability to oversee large financial plan for formal events at the residence. Must be capable to carry out stock of household appliances, tools, furniture, dishes, etc. Must possess good interpersonal and client support competencies. Capability to establish and preserve good operating connections with employees at all levels and multifaceted groups of people.
