Job Description

Position Overview

  • The Corporate head, Agriculture will head and oversee the strategic, business-related, and business initiatives of the agriculture division.
  • This comprises monitoring the comprehensive agricultural full operational cycle—from land purchase and development to processing, wrapping, allocation, and agri-export processes.
  • The position encompasses both core agribusiness development and agriculture-as-a-service offerings, with a concentration on creative invention, mechanization, and maintainable procedures.
  • The position holder will lead productivity, ensure legal adherence, and supply ability to scale, market-in sync initiatives tailored to business-related, industrial, and government customers.
  • They will supervise cross-operational teams, strengthen strategic collaborations with full operational cycle actors, and ensure the division achieves its financial and effect targets.

Primary duties

  • Formulate and implement a business roadmap for the agriculture division in sync with corporate targets.
  • Recognize development potentials in crop and livestock generation, agro-processing, and agriculture professional guidance.
  • Head organizing and execution of large-scale development, irrigation, and mechanized farming operational structures.
  • Supervise post-harvest processing, wrapping, warehousing, and logistics to improve value retention and stock chain effectiveness.
  • Lead export market preparedness, qualifications, and adherence with worldwide agri-trade guidelines.
  • Establish long-term alliances with cooperatives, regulatory bodies, analysis institutions, and agri-technology firms.
  • Execute climate-smart, maintainable agriculture procedures to enhance returns and ecological stewardship.
  • Oversee financial plans, input procurement, agreement farming schemes, and business risks across various sites.
  • Ensure health, safety, and ecological guidelines are upheld in line with compliance-related and standardized best practices.
  • Build and preserve solid connections with clients, suppliers, authorities, and development finance institutions.
  • Track and evaluate industry trends, pricing, and regulatory framework changes to guide plan and business development.
  • Head, mentor, and formulate agronomists, farm managers, processing specialists, and assistants.
  • Supply robust financial effectiveness across performance indicators—return, cost-per-hectare, EBITDA, and project sample growth.

Qualifications

  • Bsc in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Engineering, or a associated discipline; a MSC is a plus.
  • At least 15 years of progressive expertise in business-related agriculture, agri-processing, or agri-business, with a minimum of 5 years in a executive team capacity.
  • Exhibited track document of coordinating large-scale agricultural processes and supplying agribusiness growth in emerging markets.
  • Deep knowledge of comprehensive agriculture full operational cycles, which includes input procurement, generation, processing, and allocation.
  • Competence in farm and stock chain management operational structures, business intelligence, and agri-technology channels.
  • In-depth understanding with national agricultural rules, ecological adherence, and food safety rules.
