Role summary

The selected advisor will build on the work done so far and will assist ECOWAS in operationalization of the ECRIMS, especially on data collection, preserving and updating the DB through the online instrument conceptualize, and will assist in the preliminary report with key findings. The advisor will also assist ECOWAS on the check in of the ECOWAS-GTPE joint workplan and the ECOWAS Child Regulatory framework and Strategy of Action (2019-2030).

Qualifications Credentials:

  • Education:
  • First academic qualification or equivalent academic qualification in development Studies, Community-related Work, Political or Community-related Science, International affairs, Law, Public Management, or a relevant field 
  • Expertise:
  • At least 3 years progressive expertise in the site of Child Protection or Child Rights, Data Collection and Evaluation for status updates.

Competencies:

  • Substantive expertise and ability in R & D of Data Collection and Logical Operational structures etc.
  • Robust Logical, Composing, Information exchange and Status updates competencies.
  • Expertise in the ECOWAS Region and Child Rights concerns inside the region.
  • Competence in English and French. Expertise in Portuguese is a plus.
  • Computer Literacy and Skilled in application of Graphical Visual communication software.
  • Cultural sensitivity.
  • Readiness to commute

Languages:

  • Competence in English.
  • Expertise in French and Portuguese is a plus.
  • Competence of language(s) necessary will be particularly assessed during the selection process, which may comprise of documented and/or spoken communication evaluations.

Commute necessary:

This consultancy does not foresee travels. In case any commute is essential, it will be authorized and aligned between applicable ECOWAS Directorates and FMM II Top level Program Manager.
