Enterprise platform planning Officer - Materials Management at the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Objective of Position

The Enterprise platform planning Officer will be in charge of assisting the execution, servicing & maintenance, and optimization of the Material Management (MM) module inside the SAP Enterprise platform planning system at Africa CDC. The officer will offer technical and operational assist to stock chain, procurement, commute, and warehouse processes to improve process effectiveness and analytics-based strategic judgment across the stock chain division.

Specific Duties

• Assist the deploying, setup, and ongoing management of the Material Management module in the SAP Enterprise platform planning system.
• Ensure smooth functioning of the SAP MM module with procurement, commute, and warehouse processes.
• Offer technical support for SAP Enterprise platform planning-associated concerns, diagnosing issues, and addressing system errors.
• Work alongside the procurement team to streamline procurement, buying, and vendor management methods using SAP MM.
• Coordinate the automatic control of procurement processes inside the SAP Enterprise platform planning system.
• Analyze metrics precision, uniformity, and adherence with procurement rules within SAP.
• Assist warehouse processes through efficient stock tracking and management inside the SAP Enterprise platform planning system.
• Ensure instantaneous visibility of inventory levels, movements, and audit trails using SAP resources.
• Help in optimizing stock regulate methods and status updates mechanisms within SAP.
• Help the commute team in coordinating logistical data connected with commute requisitions, appointments, and expenditure tracking inside the SAP Enterprise platform planning system.
• Ensure precise recording of commute-associated procurement and financial plan distributions in SAP
• Offer learning and IT assistance to final users on SAP Enterprise platform planning functionalities specific to the MM module.
• Formulate end-user guides, SOPs, and development materials to improve SAP Enterprise platform planning literacy among employees.
• Produce periodic documentation from SAP Enterprise platform planning to assist strategic judgment in procurement, commute, and warehouse management.
• Evaluate SAP Enterprise platform planning data to recognize practices, risks, and avenues for workflow optimization.
• Executes any other associated obligations as may be allocated.

OR

• MSC in Information Tech, Stock Chain Management, Business Management, or in a relevant field requiring at least 2 years of related experience SAP Enterprise platform planning system management, with a concentration on the Material Management module.
• Demonstrated expertise assisting procurement, commute, and warehouse processes within an SAP Enterprise platform planning environment.
• Expertise operating in international entities, community health institutions, or stock chain processes is desirable
• A member of a professional body in SAP Enterprise platform planning with a concentration on the Material Management module (SAP MM).

Necessary Competencies:

• Competence in one of the AU Formal operating languages (Arabic English, French, Kiswahili, Portuguese and Spanish) and fluency in another AU language(s) is a plus.
• Robust specialized skill in SAP Enterprise platform planning operational structures, especially the Material Management (MM) module.
• High meticulousness and dedication to data precision and system honesty and reliability within SAP Capability to operate in a diverse environment and associate well with a broad array of individuals both within and outside of the AU.

Tenure of Assignment:

The Assignment will be made on a temporary agreement for a period of one (1) year, of which the first three (3) months will be assessed as a probationary period. Thereafter, the agreement may be renewed for a similar period subject to financing accessibility, acceptable effectiveness and accepted outputs.
