Chief of Information Tech at Westfield Consulting Limited in Lagos

Position Objective

The Chief of IT will head the strategic and business management of the organization’s tech structure, digital channels, and information operational structures in line with Shariah-conforming finance principles. The position will supervise tech organizing, cybersecurity, structure, digital transformation, and legal adherence, making sure that tech enables creative invention, effectiveness, and ethical service dispatch.

Primary duties

Strategic IT Executive guidance Formulate and execute an IT plan in sync with the company’s aspiration and non-interest financial principles. Offer strategic input for digital transformation, automatic control, and creative invention projects. Work alongside top level management to assist strategic strategic judgment through tech findings. Tech Structure & Processes Supervise the design, deploying, and management of core banking operational structures, enterprise applications, and digital channels. Verify that every tech channels are strong, secure, ability to scale, and conforming with compliance-related and Shariah guidelines. Oversee system uptime, information accuracy, and disaster recovery standardized processes. IT Compliance & Risk Establish IT rules, standardized processes, and regulates that reflect Islamic finance ethics and follow compliance obligations. Ensure data confidentiality, cybersecurity, and information risk mitigation strategy frameworks are in place. Track IT audits, risk evaluations, and ensure prompt remediation of recognized differences. Digital & Financial technology Creative invention Lead the execution of Shariah-conforming digital goods, solutions, and channels (e.g., mobile banking, online funding channels). Recognize emerging technical solutions (AI, blockchain, cloud, etc.) appropriate for Islamic finance initiatives. Assist automatic control of internal workflows for process effectiveness. People & Vendor Management Head and formulate the IT team to meet business and tech targets. Oversee external tech vendors, financial technology associates, and ensure SLA adherence. Promote a high-effectiveness, guard-aware, and ethical organizational culture.

Credentials & Expertise

• Bsc in Computer Science, Information Tech, Engineering, or a associated discipline (MSC preferred).
• Must possess 8–10 years of progressive expertise in IT management, with a minimum of 3 years in a executive function within financial solutions.
• Robust expertise with core banking operational structures, digital channels, and Technology infrastructure.
• Understanding with Islamic finance principles and Shariah-conforming processes is highly preferred.
