Job Description
Position Overview
The Electronics Laboratory Engineer will be in charge of the running test, calibration, servicing & maintenance, diagnosing issues, and fix of electronic instrumentation and tools used in site processes and base assist. This position needs robust practical experience in coordinating electronics and regulate operational structures, especially those used in oilfield resources, measurement devices, and surface/downhole electronics. The preferred candidate should have outstanding diagnostic abilities, a systematic method to issue resolution, and the capability to operate in a high-pressure service-oriented environment.
Duties
- Execute standard procedure and preventive servicing & maintenance of electronic instrumentation.
- Calibrate sensors, transducers, meters, and data recording resources to industry guidelines.
- Set up and implement test procedures for both prototype and site-used tools.
- Diagnose and fix faults in PCBs, circuit parts, regulate boards, and telemetry operational structures.
- Use diagnostic tools which includes multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
- Preserve precise service documentation, calibration certifications, fault data records, and fix records.
- Produce technical documentation for non-conformities and endorse enhancements.
- Preserve stock of lab resources, test tools, spares, and consumables.
- Verify that every electronic tools is in serviceable requirement before site dispatch.
- Offer IT assistance to site engineers during pre-deploying tools checks.
- Collaborate with site service teams to comprehend tools defeats and site effectiveness concerns.
- Guarantee adherence with Health, safety, and environment guidelines, ISO standardized processes, and standardized best practices.
- Verify that every laboratory initiatives meet organisation and customer QA guidelines.
- Train entry-level technicians or internship on electronic operational structures servicing & maintenance and fix procedures.
- Engage in OEM development, workshops, and expertise move sessions as necessary.
Credentials
- Education: Bsc in Electrical and electronics Engineering or a similar discipline
- Grade: At least Second-class upper/Upper Credit
- Expertise: At least 5 years of expertise
- Solid understanding of electronic circuits and operational structures
- Competence in using electronic running test and measurement tools
- Outstanding issue resolution and Project coordination competencies.
