Medical Lab technician at Centre for Population Health Initiatives in Lagos

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented lab technician who will be in charge of assisting our laboratory employees with the primary objective of optimizing laboratory standardized processes and succeeding in generating dependable test outcomes. In order to be successful as a lab technician, you will need to be thorough when carrying out your obligations, successfully keep documentation of laboratory methods and tools, and produce documentation to send to the applicable Laboratory Organizer.

Duties

• The Lab technician will execute duty that assist standard and safe medical laboratory processes in our Clinic.
• Help with specimen collection, specimen referral initiatives and specimen storage.
• Organize desk for laboratory evaluation.
• Help in making sure the cleanliness of laboratory tools and health and safety protocols.
• Enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System and dispatch the laboratory documentation as appropriate.
• Adhere with laboratory quality standardized processes, SOPs, and biosafety rules.
• Preserve and modify all laboratory records and documents.

Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Lab technician
• At least 2 years’ expertise in a similar position. 
• An active MLT Liscense
• Good comprehension of laboratory information operational structures and automated laboratory tools. 
• Competence in MS Excel, MS Word
• Good planning abilities and document keeping (meticulousness is critical).
• Cheerful presence and people competencies. 
• Good spoken communication and professional writing competencies.
