Plant Quality and Food Safety Manager at Olam in Lagos

Job Description

We are looking for a very driven and skilled Quality & Food Safety Manager to lead our dedication to regular product standard, food safety, and operations excellency.
This position is critical in top the development, execution, and ongoing development excellent quality operational structures across the production operations full operational cycle.
The preferred candidate will be quality-driven, process-oriented, and capable to work alongside cross-functional units to promote an environment that fosters zero faults and adherence with food safety guidelines.

Track and documentation quality and food safety risks with suitable escalation.
Coordinate with government and compliance-related bodies for adherence and inspections.
Track and show quality KPIs and adherence indicators routinely.
Ensure recordkeeping and information flow for audits, assessments, and effectiveness tracking.

Bsc in Food Science, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, or relevant field.
An postgraduate degree or qualifications in Standards oversight or Food Safety will be an added advantage.
8–12 years of expertise in QA inside the FMCG/food production operations sector.

Deep knowledge excellent quality & Food Safety Guidelines
Demonstrated expertise conceptualizing quality documented guides, standardized processes, and KPIs.
Clear articulation and stakeholder engagement.
Skilled in Root Cause Evaluation (RCA), Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Robust logical and data analysis competencies.
Competence in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and quality recordkeeping.
Compliance-related expertise (NAFDAC, SON, etc.) is a plus.
Assertiveness and meticulousness in enforcing adherence.
