Role summary
- We are looking for a highly certified QHSE Quality, health, safety, and environment Organizer to join our team.
- As a Quality, health, safety, and environment Organizer, you will play a key role in making sure the safety and well-being of our employees and the protection of the environment.
- You will also be in charge of making sure the quality of on-site installation is regular with the organization’s regulatory framework qualifications, national and international guidelines, and customer requirements.
Core tasks
- Ensure adherence to HSQE rules, standardized processes, PPE, License to operate system (PTW), and guarantee adherence with compliance obligations.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping of incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
- Formulate, evaluate, and execute safety rules and standardized processes.
- Carry out consistent safety inspections and audits.
- Offer Health, safety, and environment development and consciousness programs.
- Explore incidents and accidents, and endorse preventive measures.
- Work alongside cross-operational teams to advance an environment that fosters safety.
- Guarantee adherence with all relevant compliance obligations.
- Offer legislative and compliance-related guidance to the organization’s executive team on all HSEQ matters.
- Preserve standards accreditations for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 18001, making sure periodic audits are planned for ongoing adherence.
- Coordinate with registration bodies, clients, and suppliers to settle HSEQ-associated concerns.
- Execute and ensure adherence to an internal HSEQ audit timetable to guarantee all group workspaces adhere with quality certification qualifications.
- Preserve the management system and recognize/execute programs for advancement—which includes all standardized processes, methods, safe operational structures of work, and assist on risk evaluations and method statements.
- Organize Quality, health, safety, and environment tender project setup for offering methods.
- Assist zone workspaces during third-party HSEQ audits.
- Verify that every workspaces operate with a standardized approach to quality benchmarks and service dispatch as defined by top level management.
- Establish at least HSEQ certification guidelines for zone workspace delegates, and oversee development qualifications as appropriate.
- Take entire duty and authority for all system issue and accident inquiries.
- Advise the group on legislative and compliance-related status reports, making sure QMS recordkeeping is kept ongoing.
- Offer customer assist on Quality, health, safety, and environment matters and audits.
- Advise, mentor, assist, raise visibility, and mentor staff in the execution of the organization’s rules and standardized processes.
- Execute any other applicable obligations as may be allocated from time to time.
Credentials / Qualifications
- Bsc in Work-related Workplace safety and wellness, Ecological Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- At least 7 - 10 years demonstrated expertise in a Safety and Standards oversight position inside the production operations, building, and/or petroleum sector industries.
- Specialist membership which includes COREN or MNSE is a plus.
- A successful track document of operating with Health, safety, and environment auditors and specialist bodies.
- Expertise in risk mitigation strategy and crisis management.
- Must possess audit officer credentials and expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 18001.
- Specialist qualifications in Health, safety, and environment (e.g., GHSE, NEBOSH, OSHA) are necessary.
- Work expertise in remote marine operations environments is highly preferred.
- Should live within Port Harcourt or be open to relocation.
