Job Description

Duties

  • Preserving precise, finalize health care records and documentation.
  • Supervising, status updates, recording modifications and escalating critical values in patient laboratory outcomes.
  • Storing and setting up laboratory tools
  • Collecting samples: Collecting blood, tissue, and other samples from patients
  • Getting ready samples: Labelling and getting ready samples for running test
  • Running tests: Executing standard procedure tests and evaluating samples
  • Recording data: Recording test data and outcomes in patients' medical records
  • Operating tools: Using and preserving laboratory tools, which includes microscopes and cell counters
  • Status updates outcomes: Discussing outcomes and findings with physicians or supervisors
  • Making sure quality assurance: Preserving quality assurance of samples and conforming to laboratory guidelines
  • Running test for drug levels: Running test for drug levels in the blood
  • Support to the servicing & maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory facilities and workspaces.
  • Help with the development and confirmation of laboratory methods, standardized processes, and procedures.
  • Show competence, honesty and reliability, and empathy in all engagements with patients, teammates, and participants, preserving secrecy and respecting patient rights and confidentiality.

Certification

  • Bsc in medical laboratory science, Chemistry, clinical laboratory science, or a relevant field
  • 0-2 years of industry/hands-on patient care
  • Accreditation as a Medical laboratory technologist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT)
  • Solid understanding of laboratory methods, standardized processes, and instrumentation used in clinical chemistry, haematology, microbiology, immunology, and other laboratory disciplines.
  • Good corporate and schedule control competencies.
  • Competence in laboratory information operational structures (LIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and other healthcare software apps
  • Capability to operate under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Efficient interpersonal and verbal abilities
  • Robust client support competencies.
  • Robust analytical abilities.
  • Robust meticulousness in specimen and sample managing.
