Top level Health & Safety supervisor at Java Design Concept Limited in Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)

Position Overview

We are looking for to hire a Top level Health & Safety supervisor with 15–20 years of demonstrated expertise in work-related health, safety management, and adherence inside the building industry. The successful applicant will advocate safety culture, guarantee adherence with statutory rules, and offer direction on all health, safety, and ecological (HSE) matters.

Primary duties

• Formulate, execute, and track complete health, safety, and ecological rules.
• Carry out risk evaluations and ensure preventive measures are in place.
• Head safety inductions, development sessions, and toolbox talks for employees and service providers.
• Track and ensure adherence to adherence with safety rules, codes, and guidelines.
• Explore incidents/accidents and organize thorough documentation with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with compliance-related bodies, service providers, and management on all Health, safety, and environment matters.
• Train and oversee entry-level Health, safety, and environment officers to uphold industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree Academic qualification / Higher national diploma in Work-related Health & Safety, Ecological Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
• At least 15 years of expertise in Health, safety, and environment positions, with a minimum of 5 years in a top level capacity.
• Applicable specialist qualifications which includes NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON, or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of Nigerian safety legal provisions, rules, and international guidelines (ISO 45001, OSHA, etc.).
• Effective guidance, information exchange, and analytical abilities.
• Exhibited capability to build and sustain a robust safety culture in building environments.
