Work tasks
- To oversee employees asset, 3PL processes upon accepted SLA’s [warehousing] & customs clearing methods according to evolving needs of the Nigeria business model and project sample.
- Productive assessment of comprehensive expenses as it affects as it affects incoming logistics.
- Offer assistance to other organisation business processes during the formation of customer initiatives, logistics and transportation pricing requests.
- Making useful strategic guidance for cost savings for more productive and efficient dispatch methods and coordinating the dispatch process to reduce additional expenses (i.e. demurrage).
- Stay abreast of modifications in import or export legal provisions or rules by reading ongoing literature, participating sessions or professional forums, or conferring with teammates.
- Advise clients on import and export restrictions, tariff operational structures, coverage qualifications, quotas, or other customs-associated matters.
- Organize and process import and export recordkeeping according to customs rules, legal provisions, or standardized processes.
- Preserving postponement-avoidance methods to guarantee accuracy, thoroughness and Clarity of documents for assessment Agents and other Regulatory bodies.
- Conceptualizing efficient receipt, storage and transport solutions for the businesses.
- This will comprise of consenting key key focuses and setting up Performance threshold Agreements and business strategies with internal teams.
- This will also require robust collaboration with Materials management and factory processes teams to enhance the comprehensive stock chain.
- Externally, the position holder will be necessary to oversee agreements and preserve good operating connections with key service vendors which includes Shipping Lines, Terminal Operators and Clearing agents.
Credentials & Expertise
- Bachelor's degree/Higher national diploma in Business Management or any Community-related Sciences.
- Outstanding expertise in the Customs and Excise HS Code and Explanatory notes and capability to manage Assessment Agents, Banks, Shipping Companies and Terminals.
- At least 5 years of expertise in a similar position within a large company.
- Competence in computer use.
- Must be driven and prepared to operate round the clock to deliver on time.
