Shawarma / Burger Chef at FoodCourt in Unilag, Lagos

Position Objective

The Shawarma / Burger Chef will be in charge of getting ready and serving freshly made shawarma, burgers, and associated efficient foods. The position requires speed, precision, and uniformity while preserving premium quality guidelines, hygiene, and outstanding client support.

Primary duties

• Organize and chef shawarma, burgers, sandwiches, and other efficient-food items according to recipes and organisation guidelines.
• Ensure uniformity in taste, visual communication, and portion sizes.
• Preserve cleanliness of the cooking zone, utensils, and tools.
• Track inventory of ingredients, documentation shortages, and help with restocking.
• Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation to reduce waste.
• Ensure adherence with all hygiene, health, and safety guidelines (HACCP/NAFDAC/local).
• Work productively during peak hours to supply orders on time.
• Assist culinary service solutions and events as needed.

Credentials & Competencies

• Interested applicants should have an OND certification with 2 - 4 years work expertise.
• Demonstrated expertise as a chef specializing in shawarma and/or burgers.
• Expertise in efficient-food recipes, marinades, sauces, and grilling methods.
• Capability to operate in a dynamic environment with precision.
• Robust meticulousness and dedication to quality.
• Effective communication and collaborative ability.
• Basic food hygiene and safety expertise.

Operating Terms:

• Based at Unilag, Lagos.
• Adaptable work timetable (may comprise of evenings, weekends, and event days).
• Dynamic kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cooking tools.
