Small Chops Chef at Foodco Limited in Akoka (UNILAG), Lagos

Position Objective

The Small Chops Chef will be in charge of getting ready, cooking, and demonstrating assorted finger foods and snacks (“small chops”) which includes samosas, spring rolls, puff-puff, chicken kebabs, and other types. The position requires speed, uniformity, and attention to hygiene while making sure quality and client fulfillment.

Primary duties

• Organize and chef a range of small chops according to recipes and organisation guidelines.
• Ensure portion regulate and regular visual communication of all items.
• Preserve cleanliness, hygiene, and safety guidelines in the kitchen at all times.
• Track inventory of ingredients, documentation shortages, and help with stock regulate.
• Help in menu development and introduction of new small chops types.
• Reduce food waste through proper organizing, storage, and rotation of ingredients.
• Assist culinary service solutions and events when necessary.
• Follow all workplace safety and wellness rules (HACCP/NAFDAC/local guidelines).

Credentials & Competencies

• Demonstrated expertise as a chef, ideally in getting ready small chops/finger foods.
• Expertise in Nigerian snacks and party small chops recipes.
• Capability to operate quickly and productively in a dynamic environment.
• Robust meticulousness and dedication to quality.
• Effective communication and collaborative ability.
• Basic expertise in food hygiene and safety procedures.

Operating Terms:

• Based at Unilag, Lagos.
• Adjustable timing (may comprise of evenings, weekends, and event days).
• Dynamic kitchen environment with heat/tools use.
