Job Description

Position Overview

  • The Data Collection Team is in charge of collecting precise, dependable, and prompt information to assist programme M&E, analysis, and status updates.
  • Team members will carry out site visits, manage surveys or questionnaires, carry out interviews, document observations, and ensure information accuracy in line with project goals and professional conduct.
  • The Future Stars Plan, in partnership with work collaboratively local Nonprofit organizations, is carrying out a complete data collection exercise on out-of-school children across Plateau State.
  • This attempt goals to produce dependable evidence that will inform support, regulatory framework decisions, and targeted interventions to enhance entry to education for at risk children.

Primary duties

  • Carry out site data collection using paper-based forms, tablets, or mobile apps.
  • Manage organized and semi-organized interviews, target group discussions, and household surveys.
  • Ensure informed approval is secured and secrecy of respondents is preserved.
  • Confirm precision and thoroughness of data before entry.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors to settle concerns encountered during data collection.
  • Documentation routine advancement and hurdles to the manager.
  • Follow timelines, data accuracy procedures, and ethical standard procedures.
  • Ensure protection of project tools (phones, tablets, GPS devices, etc.) used for data collection.
  • Preserve competence and neutrality while interacting with group members.

Credentials & Qualifications

  • At least a Certification / Academic qualification in Community-related Sciences, Statistics, Community health, Development Studies, or a relevant field.
  • Prior expertise in site data collection, surveys, or analysis preferred.
  • Understanding with mobile data collection resources (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, CommCare) is an asset.
  • Effective communication and people skills, with the capability to participate multifaceted populations.
  • Capability to operate under pressure and deliver on time.
  • Fluency in English and local languages of the project zone.
  • Robust meticulousness and data precision.
