Electrical Design Engineer – Power Operational structures & Regulate Panels at ETC Workforce Services Limited in Lagos

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team and initiate in designing, conceptualizing, and optimising electrical operational structures for power allocation and regulate applications. This is a fantastic avenue for someone with in-depth specialized skill, robust analytical abilities, and a want to make a tangible effect on industrial and business-related projects.

Work tasks

• Design thorough electrical operational structures, schematics, and layouts for low and medium voltage power allocation and regulate operational structures.
• Execute engineering calculations to decide system requirements and load qualifications.
• Formulate and confirm prototypes, making sure most effective effectiveness, reliability, and adherence possessing applicable guidelines.
• Carry out simulations and evaluate test data to enhance design effectiveness and quality.
• Supervise running test and confirmation of electrical operational structures before deploying.
• Ensure system safety through risk evaluations and consolidation of safety measures.
• Compile reports which includes drawings, requirements, testing workflows, and engineering documentation.
• Preserve structured and current design files and records.
• Guarantee adherence with organisation guidelines, NEC, IEC, and other industry codes.
• Work alongside cross-operational teams which includes Mechanical Design, Generation, Quality, and Project coordination.
• Engage with customers, advisors, and participants to collect specifications and offer technical status reports.
• Engage in design assessments and technical reviews.
• Enhance internal design methods for better effectiveness and scalability.
• Train entry-level engineers and internship.
• Stay updated with new technical solutions and compliance-related modifications in the electrical design site.

Qualifications

• Bsc ( bachelor's in engineering) in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• At least 4 years of expertise in electrical design engineering (industrial or business-related operational structures preferred).
• Competence in BricsCAD (compulsory); expertise with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or ETAP will be an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of electrical system design, power allocation, circuit theory, and regulate panel development.
• Expertise in cable sizing, protection schemes, and grounding operational structures.
• Capability to analyze electrical codes, guidelines, and system manuals.
• Outstanding analytical abilities with expertise in root cause evaluation and corrective actions.
• Clear expression competencies — capable to transparently clarify technical notions to non-technical target groups.
• Cooperative team player with executive guidance capabilities.
• Initiative-driven in workflow optimization and adoption of modern design resources.
