Job Description
The Role
The Driver role is based in Lagos State at the UNFPA Lagos Communication link Workspace and documentation straight to the Logistics Associate. The Driver delivers dependable and safe pushing solutions for efficient programme execution in Lagos State and other high-ranking UNFPA authorities and visitors making sure the highest guidelines of discretion and honesty and reliability, sense of duty, and outstanding expertise in procedure and guard concerns. The Driver also displays a customer-oriented approach, courtesy, secrecy, tact and capability to operate with people of different national and cultural profile. Upon formal request, the Driver can also be necessary to offer pushing solutions to the processes and programme employees in other Sub Workspaces, advisors and professionals and UNFPA employees on purpose.

Position Objective

Obligations and Duties
- Leads workspace vehicle for the transportation of approved staff.
- Supplies and collects mail, documents and other items.
- Meets formal staff at the airport and supports immigration and customs formalities as necessary.
- Sustains on a daily basis allocated vehicle, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres etc; executes minor repairs and organizes for other repairs and make sure that the vehicle is kept clean, keeping well the servicing & maintenance-associated records.
- Ensures vehicle associated recordkeeping for example permits and coverage regulatory framework are obtained and preserved current.
- Arranges and sustains vehicle associated Data records formal trips, routine mileage, gas usage, oil modifications, greasing, etc.
- Make sure that the steps necessary by compliance standards are taken in case of participation in accident.
- Documentation to the Logistics Associate any fault found in any of the UNFPA vehicles.
- Makes photocopies of letters, mails and other formal documents as may be necessary in the workspace or during workshops/seminars.
- Distributes mails as suitable to all employees inside the workspace and to other parties for example government, NGO workspaces, UN Agencies, Diplomatic missions, individuals etc. participated with UNFPA.
- Sustains document on commute in order to coordinate productive tracking and supervising.
- Executes any other obligations as may be allocated.
Education:
Have a minimum of High school diploma. Have valid specialist pushing permit and Trade Test Certification.
Expertise and Expertise:
- Show capability/ability in vehicle mechanical process.
- Have valid specialist pushing permit and Trade Test Certification.
- Expertise in pushing compliance standards, chauffeur procedure and courtesies, and local roads and terms, and defensive pushing competencies.
- Possess at least 3 years specialist pushing expertise with a reputable company.
- Work record of a minimum of 3 years in the UN system or an international company is preferred.
Languages:
Fluency in English necessary. Very robust ability to convey transparently and succinctly in both spoken communication and documented English.
