About the Position

We are looking for an skilled Data scientist to join our growing data team. The preferred candidate will possess robust competence in building and optimizing data pipelines, coordinating large-scale data merging, and operating with Microsoft’s modern data stack (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, etc.). You will play a main responsibility in designing, executing, and assisting data initiatives that power data analysis, status updates, and business strategic judgment.

Primary duties

• Data Pipeline Development:
• Design, build, and preserve ability to scale ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and instantaneous data.
• Formulate parameterized and reusable pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse Pipelines.
• Enhance large-scale data ingestion and transformation methods using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Dataflows.
• Data merging & Migration:
• Work on data migration projects, moving task volumes from on-premises to Azure Cloud or Microsoft Fabric.
• Combine data from various suppliers (databases, APIs, Event Hubs, third-party operational structures, etc.).
• Execute data partitioning, chunking, and metadata-driven approaches for effectiveness optimization.
• Data Modeling & Storage:
• Design and preserve Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Delta Lake systems.
• Build and oversee semantic models for status updates with Power BI.
• Work alongside analysts and business participants to produce productive data models assisting data analysis application scenarios.
• Compliance, Guard & Adherence:
• Ensure proper data administration, lineage, and cataloging using Microsoft Purview.
• Oversee entry and guard through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), positions, and service principals.
• Execute industry standards for data accuracy, honesty and reliability, and adherence with corporate and industry guidelines.
• Partnership & Recordkeeping:
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and business participants to comprehend qualifications and supply initiatives.
• Record technical designs, methods, and industry standards for maintainability.
• Support to information exchange and training inside the data team.
• Key Competencies & Credentials
• Certification: Bsc.
• Occupational competencies:
• 4+ years of demonstrated expertise in a Data Engineering position (or similar).
• Robust analytical abilities and capability to enhance data methods.
• Clear articulation and capability to convert technical initiatives into business language.
• Expertise in customer-facing or cross-operational positions is a plus.
• Applicable Microsoft qualifications will be an added advantage
• Specialized abilities:
• Robust expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Data analysis, and Power BI.
• Competence in SQL (T-SQL, query optimization, stored standardized processes).
• Expertise with PySpark, Python, or Databricks-like environments for big information handling.
• Expertise in data modeling (star schema, data vault, dimensional modeling).
• Understanding with instantaneous streaming (Event Hubs, Kafka, Service Bus, or similar).
• Expertise with data administration resources (e.g., Microsoft Purview).
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Development-operations procedures.
