Job Description
Primary duties
- Safely operate and preserve refrigerated dispatch vehicles in adherence with organisation and road safety rules.
- Load and unload temperature-sensitive goods, making sure proper managing to prevent loss.
- Track and document temperature levels during transportation to preserve cold chain guidelines.
- Execute standard procedure pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, status updates any concerns promptly.
- Guarantee promptness and precise supplies to clients, preserving high guidelines of service.
- Keep precise dispatch data records, temperature records, and proof of supplies.
- Follow health, safety, and food safety rules, which includes the use of PPE.
- Convey productively with dispatch, warehouse employees, and clients regarding dispatch plans or setbacks.
- Preserve vehicle cleanliness and ensure refrigeration operational structures are in proper operating order.
Credentials & Qualifications
- At least SSCE or equivalent with 2-10 years of expertise; additional technical/vocational development is a plus.
- Valid driving permit with a clean pushing document.
- Previous expertise as a dispatch driver, ideally in cold chain logistics.
- Expertise in road safety regulations, vehicle servicing & maintenance, and cold chain managing.
- Capability to carry and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Robust schedule control, reliability, and analytical abilities.
- Readiness to operate any time, which includes weekends and holidays if necessary.
