Network Optimization Engineer at Fibrehub Internetworking Services Limited in Omole/Ogba Junction, Lagos

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly proficient Network Optimization Engineerwho will beresponsible for evaluating, designing, executing, and optimizing network structure to guarantee strong results, reliability, scalability, and effectiveness.

Duties

• Track and evaluate network key indicators (latency, throughput, packet loss, jitter, etc.) to recognize bottlenecks and zones of advancement.
• Strategy and execute optimization plans to improve capacity utilization, stability, and entire quality of service (QoS).
• Carry out consistent audits of network settings, routing procedures, and traffic flows.
• Work alongside organizing and processes teams to design network upgrades, expansions, and capacity organizing.
• Guarantee adherence with SLA qualifications for voice, data, and video solutions.
• Execute traffic engineering and load-balancing initiatives to enhance asset usage.
• Diagnose issues chronic network effectiveness concerns and endorse long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with vendors and OEMs for improved diagnosing issues and effectiveness tuning.
• Formulate automatic control scripts and resources for effectiveness supervising and optimization.
• Organize technical documentation, dashboards, and recordkeeping on network health and optimization initiatives.
• Assist site and network operations center teams with improved effectiveness diagnosing issues.

Key Traits and Skills

• Bsc in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or relevant field.
• 3-4 years of expertise in network engineering, ideally in telecom or ISP environment.
• Solid understanding of IP relationship building, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and traffic engineering.
• Practical experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia, etc.).
• Competence in network supervising/optimization resources (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, NetFlow, etc.).
• Expertise in QoS, capacity organizing, and traffic evaluation.
• Understanding with SDN, NFV, and cloud relationship building is a plus.
• Robust issue resolution and critical thinking.
• Capability to operate under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Clear articulation and collaborative ability.
