Job Description

Purpose and Targets

Offer inpatient medical care to patients/recipients according to adjusted and current medical expertise, MoH procedures, values, and universal hygiene guidelines to enhance the patients/recipients’ health terms. Knows and ensures all ALIMA medical procedures are followed and executed, checking universal precautions are followed at all times, and reducing bio-hazard risks and optimizing infection regulate. Ensures specialist secrecy is respected. In adherence with ALIMA standard procedures and procedures, ensure rational use of drugs to guarantee their performance and business accessibility. Check in on the evolution of the hospitalized patients, through routine visits, discussions, and examinations, prescribing the necessary treatment while respecting ALIMA procedures, deciding whether they can be discharged or transferred to other departments – in partnership with other doctors- and informing their family about the patient’s evolution. Duty & Duties

  • Carrying out thorough discussions of patients following the MoH treatment procedures and noting observations on health care forms.
  • Operating in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team and engaging in ongoing staff development (care methods, updating procedures, etc.).
  • Carrying out the routine unit-specific round.
  • Examining all the hospitalized patients.
  • Clarifying to the team and prescribing the care and treatments necessary, following MoH /OptiMA procedures to guarantee the rational use of medicines.
  • Keeping the hospitalization forms current by noting the description of examinations, diagnoses, and treatments, and making sure the application of prescriptions.
  • Deciding on the exit of patients according to the state of their health.
  • Ensure proper recordkeeping in the patient file, especially the concluding diagnosis at discharge, that will be documented in Praxis.
  • Operating in partnership with the different doctors and directing transfers to other departments if necessary.
  • Checking that transfusion regulations are followed in the department (grouping, tests, etc.).
  • Making sure the management and ongoing development of the medical/paramedical team to enhance the quality of care.
  • Initiate in mortality evaluate and propose initiatives to enhance the recognized differences in both medical and nursing care.
  • Coordinating crises and while on call, if necessary.

  • Engaging in the collection and evaluation of epidemiological data.
  • Passing on all challenges linked to the department to the site synchronization.
  • Engages in sessions with other medical teams to guarantee smooth partnership of all operational units in terms of initiatives running.
  • Execute any other responsibility as allocated by the company through the medical referent / MAM.

Necessary Competencies:

  • Competence in basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet).
  • Robust corporate, information exchange, and bargaining ability.
  • Capability to operate productively within cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams and under pressure in crisis settings.
  • Capacity to oversee stress, remain outcomes-oriented, and adjust to difficult situations.
  • Proven partnership competencies with Ministry of Health (MOH) employees and other participants.
  • Team player, adaptable, and dedicated to allocated duties.

  • Language: English and Hausa language are Compulsory
