Primary goal
Execute gynecological and obstetric doctor standardized processes, executing any other prior treatment necessary, during or at once after a woman possesses provided birth in order to enhance women’s reproductive health and to reduce pregnancy, dispatch and neonatology risks. This will be done in accordance with MSF rules, procedures and universal hygiene guidelines and in multidisciplinary partnership with other doctor and maternal health worker solutions.
Role summary
- Offer health care connected with gynecology and obstetrics to patients, which includes prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure the execution of MSF clinical rules, resources, standard procedures and procedures connected with gynecology and obstetrics in order to reduce clinical risk and to extend best reproductive procedures.
- In partnership with other medical teammates, carry out the collection of quantitative gynecological data and ensure exhaustive use of admin systems in order to enhance gynecological outcomes and to transfer expertise among other site specialists.
- Strategy and oversee the Human resources connected methods (hiring process, development, performance check, development and internal/external information exchange) of the gynecological/Obstetrics

- This will be done in close synchronization with the Human resources
- department.
- Oversee the servicing & maintenance and running of the gynecological tools and drug usage, getting ready new orders when necessary and making sure its rational use in addition to that pharmacy inventory levels are permanently current and accessible.
- This will be done in teamwork with the pharmacy professional and logistic employees, the management.
- Offer and oversee complete obstetric, surgical, and newborn care in partnership with anesthetists, midwives, and nurses, making sure standards oversight of supplies, surgical standardized processes, maternity care, and hospitalized patients with pregnancy-associated complications.
- Evaluate, strategize and supply surgical, obstetric, and medical development sessions for doctors, midwives, and nurses (which includes crisis obstetric surgery, pre-/peri-/post-operative care, obstetric crises, hygiene, ultrasound, and associated competencies), in partnership with in charge employees, and adjust development sessions based on service reviews and recognized needs.
- Guarantee standard of care through compliance to MSF procedures, oversight of instruments, drugs, sterilization and data operational structures; explore maternal deaths; collect, evaluate, and documentation medical data (on a weekly basis and every month Sitreps); and actively support to team sessions and Project yearly organizing.
Qualifications
- Education: Crucial, Obstetrics & Gynaecologist fellowship.
- Expertise:
- Crucial: a minimum of 2 years of accredited work expertise in Gynaecology
- Preferred previous expertise with MSF or other NGO’s in conceptualizing countries
- Language Crucial: English; local operating language (Hausa) would be an asset.
- Expertise: Crucial computer literacy (Word, Excel)
