Explanation

The Information security Specialist is in charge of protecting the company’s digital assets, operational structures, and networks from digital risks. This position includes designing and executing guard measures, supervising for possibility vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents to guarantee the secrecy, honesty and reliability, and accessibility of organisation data and Technology infrastructure.

Primary duties

• Formulate, execute, and preserve strong cybersecurity rules, standardized processes, and guidelines.
• Supervise infrastructure traffic and operational structures for guard breaches, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Carry out consistent guard evaluations, penetration tests, and risk assessment.
• Address guard incidents, execute root cause evaluation, and execute corrective actions.
• Guarantee adherence possessing applicable legal provisions, rules, and standardized best practices (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS).
• Oversee firewalls, intrusion discovery/prevention operational structures (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and encryption technical solutions.
• Work alongside IT teams to guarantee secure system architecture and application development.
• Offer learning and consciousness sessions to employees on cybersecurity industry standards.
• Stay informed on emerging digital risks, technical solutions, and practices, endorsing initiative-driven measures.
• Organize documentation on guard status, incidents, and risk risk reduction endeavors for management.

Credentials & Competencies

• Bsc in Information security, Information Tech, Computer Science, or a relevant field (MSC or qualifications are a plus).
• Specialist qualifications which includes CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Guard+, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise (5+ years) in cybersecurity, cyber security, or a relevant position.
• Deep knowledge of network procedures, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM resources.
• Expertise in secure coding procedures, cloud guard (AWS, Azure, GCP), and issue resolution process.
• Outstanding issue resolution, logical, and risk evaluation competencies.
• Clear expression competencies with the capability to clarify technical notions to non-technical participants.
• High level of honesty and reliability, secrecy, and meticulousness.
