Action Against Hunger is at present seeking to fill the position of Grants and Adherence Manager who will be accountable for managing all critical components of the grant cycle from pre-honor to post-honor which includes donor adherence, prompt and quality status updates, within and outside the organization synchronization.

Primary duties

• Ensure premium quality and prompt grant status updates from IT assistance employees and program managers for entry to the Grants and Adherence Chief of Department; perform a qualitative evaluate, and grammatical refine and guarantee adherence to standard procedures and donors’ qualifications, use of proper design frameworks;
• Make sure that internal timelines and external due dates are fulfilled; preserve the status updates tracker conceptualize by HOD Grants and Adherence, check in on inputs from project teams and specialists, and modify archive on NHF and in base;
• In partnership with the Synchronization Team (Programme, WASH, FSL, Health nutrition, Log, Finance, Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning planners), handle any further client engagement question/s, comments, etc., to guarantee conforming and quick entry of additional and/or amended information necessary;
• Organize responses to any donor response and guarantee promptness entry of requested response.;
• Formulate internal expertise in Action Against Hunger organizational guidelines and status updates mechanisms; information exchange, support, and cross-cutting rules, internal status updates APRs, circumstance documentation, project status reports, recipient count, and technical reviews documentation;
• Guarantee adherence with donor visibility qualifications, refine and prepare human interest stories, success stories, and photographs for donor documentation and demonstrations; 
• Help the HOD Grants and Adherence and zone organizer during the formation of grant project sample overviews, project and donor summaries/status reports;
• Help in recognizing possibility avenues for strategic collaborations with local and international entities and engaging during the formation of agreements and vetting process;
• Ensure complete grant files are preserved current and are accessible applicable in both hard and soft copy (proposals, agreements, amendments, documentation, etc.);
• Coordinate the distribution of expertise management goods, publications, factsheets
• Under the oversight of the HOD Grants and in close partnership with zone co and technical/programme team Develop idea notes and proposals; formulate circumstance, assemble and refine visual stories parts, ensure financial plan design frameworks are divided, track and draft other documents as necessary;
• Under the oversight of the HOD Grants and in close partnership with zone co and technical/programme team, the candidate will evaluate and capitalize evaluations (Rapid Needs Evaluation), baselines, and site observations for needs recognition;
• Under the oversight of the HOD Grants and close partnership with zone co and technical/programme team, the candidate will recognize interventions to be delivered to international/local donors as required;
• Help with analysis on financing avenues, and possibility donors, associates, and their plans;
• Coordinate kick-off, evaluate, and closing sessions to guarantee project goals are being met and recognize and hurdles, setbacks, or deviations from the project strategy; and liaise with donors, assist any internal or external realignments as suitable;
• Check in with Programme Managers and Technical Planners on Programme Execution and collection of data according to means of confirmation, from kick-off meeting to agreement closure, to allow pro-activeness in the supervising of the grant and associated duty (which includes as-needed donor qualifications or extension/modification requests);
• Under the oversight of the HOD Grants formulate grant changes, cost extensions, financial plan realignments, and modifications;
• Coordinate development and skills development for site teams, in particular, Programme Managers and Site Planners on the Project Cycle Admin systems and internal analytics platforms;
• Build the capacity of site employees to compose and integrate suggestions on donor documentation;
• Recognize and convey to programme/technical, site, and Monitoring and evaluation employees differences in status updates/data collection;
• Preserve an deep understanding of Action Against Hunger organizational guidelines and proposal standard procedures for donor entities financing Nigeria programs/projects among PMs, technical in addition to business assistants.

Role Qualifications

• Bsc and/or MSC in Humanitarian Action (international affairs, political science, law, etc.) or any relevant field of Arts or Science (or higher) in International Development, Community-related Studies, Economics, Rural Development, Geography, Agriculture, Livestock or associated studies;
• A minimum of 5 years of expertise in international development, humanitarian support, international affairs, or associated sectors in similar settings and duties;
• Fluency in English and an added benefit of fluency in Hausa and Kanuri;
• Outstanding expertise in proposal and documentation drafting, donor compliance standards, confirmation standardized processes, and synchronization of methods;
• Expertise in Project Cycle Management, theory of adjustment, and project execution resources;
• Robust dedication to Purpose targets and general expertise in programmatic zones (FSL, WASH, Nutrition, and Community-related Protection);
• Capability to compose donor documentation and proposals in outstanding English;
• A minimum of 3 years as a Grant Author or similar (i.e. Program officer);
• Expertise in key institutional donors, which includes ECHO, USAID (FFP, OFDA), SDC, SIDA, GAC, OCHA, and AECID;
• Expertise in Humanitarian principles, Sphere project at least standard, gender, protection, and dispute sensitivity.
