Job Description

Objective of the Position

The Stocks and Requisition Accounting officer will be in charge of the efficient management, settlement, and status updates of stock and requisition methods across the dining venue and expertise coffee business. This position ensures precise inventory regulate, cost optimization, vendor management, and adherence with internal financial and business guidelines. The preferred candidate is a Chartered Accounting officer (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) requiring at least 8 years’ demonstrated expertise in stock, inventory, requisition, and vendor management inside the Food and beverage or high-end dining venue/café industry.

Primary duties

  • Preserve precise and current records of unedited materials, beverages, consumables, and finished goods across all outlets and central store.
  • Track routine, on a weekly basis, and every month inventory movements and explore variances between actual and system inventory balances.
  • Supervise and organize physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and periodic audits to guarantee precision and responsibility.
  • Execute regulates to prevent inventory pilferage, wastage, and mismanagement, making sure adherence with organisation rules.
  • Formulate and ensure adherence to inventory rotation rules (FIFO/FEFO) to reduce losses.
  • Evaluate and authorize requisition requests in line with business and budgetary qualifications.
  • Track requisition flows from commencement to fulfillment and ensure proper approval methods are followed.
  • Oversee vendor connections, bargain favorable terms, and assess supplier effectiveness to guarantee value-for-money procurement.
  • Resolve inventory ledgers with the general ledger and ensure precise reflection in balance sheet and income statement.
  • Track cost of goods sold (COGS) and evaluate variances between actual and standard expenses.
  • Produce and show inventory and requisition documentation (routine, on a weekly basis, and every month) to Finance and Management.
  • Offer precise inventory records and adjustments to assist audits and adherence checks.
  • Oversee and oversee inventory/requisition accounting operational structures, Enterprise platform planning channels, and POS back-end consolidation.
  • Educate and mentor support personnel on inventory, requisition, and vendor management methods.
  • Constantly evaluate and enhance inventory and requisition operational structures to strengthen effectiveness, precision, and transparency.

Credentials & Qualifications

  • Education: Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
  • A member of a professional body: Chartered Accounting officer (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) – compulsory.
  • Expertise: A minimum of 8 years of progressive expertise in inventory, requisition, stock accounting, and vendor management inside the F&B sector or large high-end dining venues/cafés.
  • Solid understanding of Food and beverage costing, recipe costing, and COGS evaluation.
  • Verified ability to set up and oversee inventory, requisition, and vendor regulate operational structures.
  • Competence in accounting/Enterprise resource planning software and improved MS Excel competencies.
  • Outstanding bargain, logical, and analytical abilities.
  • High honesty and reliability, meticulous, and outcomes-driven with the capability to operate under pressure.
