Microwave Network infrastructure engineer at Phillips Outsourcing Limited in Lagos

Overview

We are looking for an skilled microwave network infrastructure engineer to join our team on a 1-year agreement basis. The successful applicant will be in charge of the organizing and design of microwave links both traditional and E-band and will collaborate with our team of network engineers to guarantee on-time delivery of designs.

Duties

• Organizing Microwave and E-band Entry links on Pathloss.
• Organizing PtMP Coverage Evaluation
• Printing or exporting Link Documentation per Link
• Organizing Microwave BB links on Pathloss to meet defined evaluation benchmarks
• Carry out interference evaluation and Network Frequency organizing for Links designed
• Execute frequency scan result evaluation and guidance on best frequencies selection.
• Execute path survey result evaluation and guidance on LOS accessibility and Most effective antenna heights.
• Assist installation cycle with assessments and designs where necessary
• Preserving current DB/records of designed Links
• Build radio BoQ
• Other TX engineering assist upon demand.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of microwave/RF link design expertise
• Competence in Pathloss 5.1/6 software
• Competence in Excel spreadsheet software, Word, and PowerPoint
• Competence with Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD (preferred but not necessary)
• Good Comprehension of Microwave radio architectures and initiatives
• Good Relationship building Comprehension Cisco certified network associate/CCNP will be a plus
• Comprehension Organizing and deploying of unlicensed PtP and PtMP radios.
