Mechanical Change In-Charge at African Natural Resources and Mines Limited in Kaduna

Position Overview

To head and oversee all mechanical reliability initiatives during the change, making sure plant tools is accessible, dependable, and preserved in adherence with safety and business guidelines.

Duties

• Oversee mechanical technicians, fitters, and helpers during the change.
• Ensure preventive, corrective, and system failure servicing & maintenance of mechanical tools (crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, gearboxes, etc.).
• Track tools effectiveness, recognize faults, and organize prompt repairs.
• Ensure adherence to adherence with safety regulations, license-to-work operational structures, and standard operating standardized processes (SOPs).
• Strategy and assign routine duty, making sure proper use of resources, materials, and spare parts.
• Organize closely with processes and electrical teams for smooth plant functioning.
• Preserve thorough change documentation, system failure data records, and handover notes.
• Assist shutdowns, overhauls, and key servicing & maintenance works.

Credentials & Expertise

• Certification / Higher national diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• At least 5–7 years’ expertise in mechanical reliability in a mining or heavy process plant, with a minimum of 2–3 years in a leadership position.
• Solid understanding of crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, thickeners, and other heavy machinery.
• Understanding with servicing & maintenance management operational structures and procedures.
