Card Operational structures Engineer at Source Microfinance Bank Limited in Lagos, Nigeria

Position Overview

We are looking for a proficient and skilled Card Engineer to join our growing team. The preferred candidate will be in charge of the development, consolidation, and servicing & maintenance of our card processing operational structures, with a robust concentration on making sure smooth processes with key card schemes.

Position Duty

• Design, formulate, and preserve secure and ability to scale card processing operational structures and integrations with our core banking channels and payment gateways.
• Head the technical consolidation with card schemes which includes Afrigo and Verve, making sure smooth transaction processing, approval, and settlement.
• Execute and ensure adherence to strong protection measures and adherence with industry guidelines (e.g., PCI DSS) to ensure protection of cardholder data.
• Offer specialist-level IT assistance, diagnose issues sophisticated card-associated concerns, and enhance system effectiveness and reliability.
• Work alongside product, processes, and adherence teams to establish technical qualifications, create new card goods, and improve current functionalities.
• Formulate complete recordkeeping for system architectures, APIs, and business standardized processes to guarantee maintainability and expertise move.

Role expectations

• Demonstrated expertise (3+ years) in card operational structures development or engineering inside the financial solutions sector, ideally with microfinance or in-store banking expertise.
• Proven industry experience in software development with robust competence in C-Sharp and the Dotnet ecosystem.
• Practical experience with card scheme integrations, particularly Afrigo and Verve, which includes their APIs, procedures, and technical requirements.
• Deep knowledge of payment processing processes, card lifecycle management (issuance, activation, transaction processing, settlement), and guard guidelines (e.g., PCI DSS).
• Expertise in Node.js is a significant plus.
• Robust logical and analytical abilities, with an acute meticulousness and capability to diagnose issues sophisticated system problems.
• Capability to operate productively in a dynamic environment, coordinating various key focuses and projects at the same time.
