Job Description

Objective / Objective

  • The Programme Manager is in charge of executing and delivering the targets defined in the process proposals. (S)he is accountable for managing business teams allocated to the programme.
  • (S)he warranties the good effectiveness and the quality of the programme(s) executed, and, where suitable, proposes modifications or progress updates to guarantee significance.
  • (S)he is capable to evaluate the specific circumstance where WASH initiatives are being carried out.
  • (S)he Is capable to recognize and evaluate the zone’s hydrogeological, hydrological and sanitary terms.
  • (S)he will require an capability to design and bring to fruition civil engineering projects in the water and sanitation fields, in addition to advance hygiene and locally-driven involvement.

Capitalization:

  • Compose the capitalization documents in accordance with SI resources
  • Organize handover documentation before the end of his/her job agreement and advance them to worried parties in the purpose and at headquarters
  • Ensure diffusion of SI system manuals.

HRM:

  • Engage in verifying hiring process for the national specialists
  • With the managerial department, establish the prerequisites for the vacant roles and, if necessary, adjust the referent position profile.
  • Greet and concise new employees or voluntary assistants operating under his/her duty
  • Execute development connected with business qualifications and the recognized development needs
  • Oversee and assist the team under his/her duty
  • Carry out workshops and consistent or ad hoc sessions
  • Assess the performances of his/her team members
  • Recognize promise modifications in members of his/her team(s) and offer input to the Human resources Referent
  • Make sure his/her team(s) follow the safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Studies: Master's degree / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water or Sanitation Engineering, Geology or Hydrology or a similar profile.
  • Expertise: 2 years related experience in a similar role with other INGO and a minimum of 5 years of expertise in the humanitarian sector.
  • Language: English is compulsory, and expertise in the local dialects is a plus.
  • IT: Good expertise in CAD Software (Auto CAD Archi CAD etc) and should show reliable competence in MS Workspace applications—especially Word, PowerPoint and improved Excel.
  • Project associated competencies: good expertise in project cycle, project execution and project client engagement and financial plan Management
  • Specialized abilities: Expertise in executing WASH Infrastructural Projects and capable to make technical choices concerning the Scope, Building or Rehabilitation of Water Collection, Storage or Allocation Infrastructures: reservoirs, setting up or rehabilitating water pump operational structures / setting up gravity-fed drinking water networks (also stock of chlorinated drinking water for programs which includes cholera treatment centres, nutrition centres, health centres, etc.).
  • Must be capable to design and execute sanitation measures: This includes monitoring the management of human waste (latrines, launch defecation zones, septic tanks, creative sanitation facilities etc.) / assessing the scale of constructions.
  • Transversal Competencies: Issue resolution competencies, Clear communication competencies, Truthful and responsible, Capability to operate autonomously and oversee stress productively, Outstanding planning abilities, Adaptive schedule to deliver on time and effective guidance competencies. Capability to supply premium quality results without delay.
  • A team player with robust technical skilled.
