Doctor of optometry at Lily Hospitals Limited in Port Harcourt, Rivers

Role summary

We are looking for a highly proficient and initiative-driven Doctor of optometry in charge of examining patients' eyes and offering complete aspiration care. The position holder will diagnose eye terms which includes myopia, glaucoma, astigmatism, and other aspiration impairments.Additionally, the Doctor of optometry will treat graphics challenges, prescribe corrective initiatives, and offer aspiration therapy and low-aspiration rehabilitation.

Duties

• Carry out complete eye examinations to diagnose eye diseases and infections.
• Execute standard procedure and client engagement eye exams for pediatric and adult patients.
• Evaluate test outcomes and formulate suitable treatment strategies.
• Prescribe and dispense reach out lenses, eyeglasses, and other graphics helps.
• Offer preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients.
• Triage and screen acute or unscheduled patients.
• Teach and counsel patients on graphics hygiene, lens care, and safety.
• Refer patients to ophthalmology specialists as needed.

Qualifications

• At least Academic certification of Optometrist (OD).
• 2 - 4 years applicable professional background ideally in the health or Sector.
• Membership of a applicable specialist body which includes Nigerian Optometric Affiliation (NOA) or Optometry and Dispensing Optical dispenser Board of Nigeria (O.D.O.B.N).
• Expertise in the Office productivity software bundle.
• Outstanding information exchange (spoken communication and documented), interpersonal and team lead competencies.
• Have high academic qualification of precision and attention to description.
• High level of issue resolution and critical thinking competencies.
