Hospital Lab scientist at Crystal Thorpe Limited in Abuja (FCT)

Role summary

The Medical laboratory technologist will be in charge of executing laboratory tests that offer physicians and surgeons with information that helps them in diagnosing and treating diseases.     

Key Duty and Duties 

• Execute duty, obligations and/or sophisticated tests in all zones of the laboratory allocated (haematology, bacteriology, microscopy, standard procedure chemistry).
• Established laboratory procedures and standardized processes.
• Process specimens utilizing procedures and domain expertise
• Calibrate, standardize and preserve instruments following established standardized processes.
• Execute quality assurance, preventive servicing & maintenance, diagnosing issues procedures to guarantee proper functioning of instruments, reagents and standardized processes
• Confirm and documentation outcomes of tests carried out.
• Supply patient documentation according to times indicated in regulatory framework and collection documented guide.
• Analysis and formulate new standardized processes as necessary. 

Credentials

• A at least Bsc in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
• Must be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
• A minimum of 3 years post certification
• Applicants must have a ongoing practicing permit.
• Should be capable to execute haematological, chemical pathological and microbiological evaluation.
