Position Overview
The on-site SHE Manager possesses entire duty for coordinating Safety, Health & Environment advancement initiatives to attain superiority at the on-site level. S/he works with on-site Stock Chain teams to formulate and execute the local SHE Plan and advancement strategies to attain maintainable SHE superiority by reducing injuries, illnesses and ecological consequence as measured in the core KPIs making sure adherence with Unilever’s rules and compliance obligations, and pushing ongoing development towards zero harm.
Duties
- Formulate, execute and preserve on-site specific SHE plans,, rules and standardized processes in line with Unilever guidelines, National legal provisions and corporate guidelines.
- Recognize office risks, carry out risk evaluations and ensure efficient execution of suitable regulatory actions.
- Head inquiries for incidents and near misses, making sure root cause evaluation, closure of corrective actions and advises the line management in all accidents/system issue’s inquiries.
- Carry out trend evaluation from incidents, near misses, safe conduct observations and in-depth adherence audits.
- Formulate a thorough comprehension of the Unilever BBS Programme and assist deploying in the on-site.
- Formulate a thorough comprehension of the Unilever PSM Programme (as relevant to the on-site PS risks),assist deploying in the on-site and the application of Unilever standard procedures in addition to standardized processes for Process Safety evaluation (SIMAS).
- Ensure the execution of safety and adherence at Associates’ (Logistics, production operations) and on-site sites
- Advocate SHE programs and leads an environment that fosters safety through conductual safety programs, relation programs, toolbox talks to enhance SHE culture in accordance to UMS, legislation, organizational guidelines, OHS strategy and national legal provisions.
- Strategy yearly SHE development needs and ensure SHE development sessions and induction for all employees, visitors and service providers.
- Head internal SHE audits and organize external compliance-related, corporate audits and inspections.
- Evaluate every month SHE effectiveness data and documentation for executive guidance.
- Organize crisis-management preparedness and periodic drills.
- Work alongside factory and line managers to combine SHE into all on-site processes and strategic judgment.
- Guarantee adherence to the license to operate system- ability building and compliance.
- Coordinate with both local and national compliance-related agencies and governing bodies when needed.
- Head or engage in long-term viability projects, by reducing the on-site’s ecological consequence in the zones of COD, hazardous & non-hazardous waste, SOx, Nox, energy usage, GHG emission reduction, water conservation, etc.in adherence to ESRS qualifications.
- Warehouse safety strategy execution
- Roll out the safe commute programme to internal employees and 3rd parties
- Confirm with local governing bodies the conformity with the rules, the compulsory permits, and documentation.
- Guarantee adherence to the compulsory UL SHE recordkeeping of all service providers in-field.
- Dispatch and/or confirm the use of the suitable Personal Protective Tools and their requirement.

Experiences & Credentials
- Academic qualification in Engineering/ Science/Safety, Ecological or Risk mitigation strategy or relevant field.
- At least 5 years of expertise in production operations environment.
- Must possess ISPON accreditation
- Identified preferred SHE accreditation (e.g, NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Head Audit officer)
- Established history of logical thinking and project coordination
- Good comprehension of local SHE rules and worldwide guidelines & Process Safety
- Practical understanding using all SHE online platforms and how those resources combine into other operational work methods
- Expertise with work methods across all processes to combine SHE guidelines and resources productively.
- Capability to shape strategic results in a sophisticated, matrixed company.
