Tax & Auditor at Petrogap Oil & Gas Limited in Victoria Island, Lagos

Position Overview

The Tax and Auditor will beresponsible for all tax organizing, adherence, and audit processes of the company. The position ensures full adherence with statutory rules, arranges external and internal audits, supervises tax risks, and advises management on tax plans to enhance financial effectiveness and adherence.

Audit Monitoring:

• Strategy and organize within and outside the organization audit methods.
• Coordinate with external auditors to guarantee prompt and precise finalization of statutory audits.
• Evaluate and evaluate internal regulates and endorse enhancements.
• Explore audit findings and execute corrective actions.
• Organize and show audit documentation to top level management.

Credentials & Expertise

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• A member of a professional body (e.g., ACA, ACCA, ICAN) is essential.
• 3–5 years’ expertise in tax and audit.
• Expertise in the petroleum sector or production operations industry is a plus.

Competencies & Skills:

• Deep understanding of Nigerian tax legal provisions and rules.
• Deep knowledge of audit guidelines and standardized processes.
• Outstanding logical and analytical abilities.
• High level of honesty and reliability and meticulousness.
• Clear expression and people skills.
• Competence in accounting and Enterprise resource planning software (e.g., SAP, Sage, QuickBooks).
