Inflight Entertainment Engineer at Air Peace Limited in Lagos

Position Explanation

To strategize implement, and validate inspections, repairs, replacements, modifications, system setups, and software/content status reports for aircraft Inflight Entertainment (IFE) operational structures, making sure adherence with compliance obligations, organisation guidelines, and OEM requirements. The position also includes directing technicians, coordinating recordkeeping, coordinating with with vendors/OEMs, and pushing ongoing development to optimize IFE system accessibility and passenger fulfillment.

Installation & Modification:

Assist installation or retrofit of IFE operational structures, which includes wiring, tools mounting, and consolidation duty. Organize with OEMs and vendors during installation, modification, and upgrade projects.

Recordkeeping & Adherence:

• Formulate, evaluate, and update engineering documents which includes assignment cards,
• AMM/IPC letters of recommendation, CMM status reports, and modification work packs.
• Preserve precise aircraft records and verify that every servicing & maintenance actions are recorded and signed off.
• Track and execute relevant Service Bulletins (SBs),
• Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and other compulsory qualifications.
• Verify that every work is carried out in adherence with NCAA, EASA, FAA, and organisation rules.
• Oversight & Asset coordination
• Assign routine work to technicians and track development to guarantee quality and effectiveness.
• Recognize and requisition necessary IFE spare parts, resources, and consumables.
• Educate, train, and formulate technicians to enhance ability and diagnosing issues competencies.

Ongoing development:

• Recognize reliability practices and propose corrective/preventive actions.
• Endorse procedural and technical enhancements for system
• effectiveness and servicing & maintenance effectiveness.
• Coordinate with internal departments, OEMs, and vendors to handle
• persistent concerns and assist feature upgrade.

Safety & Status updates:

• Advance a safe operating environment in adherence with organisation
• Safety Management System (SMS) rules.
• Documentation all incidents, accidents, and near-misses in accordance with organisation status updates standardized processes.

Expertise:

At least 7 years of aircraft servicing & maintenance expertise, with a minimum of 3 years in IFE servicing & maintenance or engineering. Expertise in both line and base servicing & maintenance environments, which includes IFE system setups and retrofits.
