Overview

The U.S. Diplomatic office Lagos, Nigeria is looking for qualified and certified candidates for the role of Group Communication link Organizer in the Management Workspace.

Obligations

Operating in the Management Section and status updates to post's Management Officer, with direction from the Worldwide Group Communication link Workspace (GTM/GCLO), the CLO Organizer conceptualizes, executes, and supervises a programme based on group demographics and post-specific needs. The CLO Organizer performs morale optimizing initiatives under eight Zones of Duty (family member job; crisis management and guard; education; communications and outreach; direction and referral; welcoming, onboarding, and departures; group communication link; and events organizing). Recognizes needs and responds with efficient programming, information and assets, and client recommendations. CLO is an ICASS compulsory bundle service supplier, and as such serves all engaging USG agencies at post. The CLO is a rated ICASS service supplier whose base constituency comprises all direct-employ employees and family members under Head of Purpose authority.

Teaching Credentials

Finalization of a minimum of two (2) years of college or tertiary institution studies is essential.

Expertise:

At least three (3) years of industry experience, which includes but not limited to management, workspace management, client support, programme management, or public regulatory framework is essential

Qualifications:

  • All selected applicants must be capable to acquire and hold a top-secret guard clearance. 
  • All selected applicants will be subject to a profile investigative and may be subject to a pre-job medical exam.  
  • Selected applicant must be capable to begin operating within a rational period of time (6 weeks) upon receipt of agency approval and/or clearances/qualifications or their nomination may end.

Role understanding:

A good comprehension of the Foreign Service group and the framework of the federal government is essential. Expertise in general principles of programme management and programme supervising is essential. Standard expertise in Office productivity software is essential. Expertise in the CLO Organizer's eight Zones of Duty (group communication link, crisis management, job, education, direction and referral, communications and outreach, welcoming/onboarding/departures, and events organizing) is essential.

Competencies And Abilities:

  • Must be capable to evaluate specific concerns and develop findings and strategic guidance for action. Must be capable to operate in a high-stress, dynamic work environment. Outstanding interpersonal and verbal abilities, good update and skilled in writing are necessary.
  • Capability to prepare and refine material for correspondence and publication is essential.
  • Competence in project coordination, which includes short-term and long-term projects is essential.
  • Capability to operate at a high-level with work disruptions and follow an untraditional timetable is essential.
