Position Overview

We’re seeking a proficient and dependable Facilities Technician based in Lagos, with occupational competence in electrical operational structures and a good practical understanding of plumbing and Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. This practical position will be in charge of preserving, diagnosing issues, and repairing building operational structures to guarantee our workspaces and branches remain safe, operational, and conforming.  The preferred candidate will merge robust specialized abilities with meticulousness, solution-oriented capability, and a initiative-driven approach to preventive servicing & maintenance.

Position Overview

As a Facilities Technician, you will act as the first point of response for electrical, plumbing, and Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning concerns across Moniepoint facilities in Lagos and the South-West region as necessary. Your core duty will be electrical servicing & maintenance — evaluating, repairing, and optimizing our power operational structures, which includes wiring, lighting, and backup operational structures. You will also manage basic plumbing and Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning diagnosing issues, organize expert repairs when needed, and assist preventive servicing & maintenance programs.

Plumbing Assist:

Fix leaks, replace taps, unclog drains, and settle minor plumbing faults. Carry out periodic checks on water stock operational structures to prevent disruptions.

General Facilities Assist:

• Keep thorough records of repairs, replacements, and servicing & maintenance initiatives.
• Assist preventive servicing & maintenance programs across all allocated sites.
• Help in managing and directing vendors for expert servicing & maintenance work.
• Ensure adherence with health, safety, and ecological (HSE) guidelines.

Expertise:

• At least 5 years’ practical experience in electrical servicing & maintenance, ideally in a corporate or banking environment.
• Basic practical understanding of plumbing and Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning operational structures.
• Expertise with preventive servicing & maintenance programs.

Competencies & Skills:

• Occupational skill in electrical diagnosing issues, installation, and fix.
• Capability to deliver basic plumbing and Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning repairs.
• Robust analytical abilities and meticulousness.
• Effective communication and collaborative ability.
• Capability to operate independently and oversee various duty productively.
• Readiness to commute between branches when necessary.
