Job Description
Overview
The Reproductive Maternal, Newborn and Child Health plus Nutrition (RMNCH +N) Technical Director will be in charge of offering executive guidance in strengthening the health operational structures which includes RMNCH quality service dispatch for the Momentum Country and Worldwide Executive guidance (MCGL) Quality of Care (QoC) project in Nigeria. The RMNCH Technical Director will offer engineering guidance and assist for the State/LGA primary health care level initiatives in five States in Nigeria particularly concentrating on in-field Complete Crisis Obstetric and New born Care (CEmONC) skills development, Quality of Care, Nutrition and Referral initiatives. This combined health project goals to support to reductions in child and maternal morbidity and mortality in target states, and to grow the capacity of health system to sustainably assist quality health facility solutions. The project will operate for a period of one year.
Duties
- Offer direction and specialized skill in strong effect reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) solutions that is sound, evidence-based and responsive to the needs of the five selected States and the US government.
- Offer guidance on the consolidation of these solutions into established service dispatch operational structures at different levels of care in the State.
- Work alongside other state and other participants to submit application lessons learned, advancements and quality methods to guarantee evidence-based procedures are translated to upgraded execution of interventions.
- Offer engineering guidance to the building of local capacity using proven development approaches and standard enhancement structured approaches.
- Offer IT assistance to primary stakeholders which includes evaluate of technical documents and offer input to applicable rules and plans.
- Offer engineering guidance during the formation of plans for rising the percentage of pregnant women, which includes married adolescents, who supply under the care of a proficient birth attendant top to a reduction of maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality.
- Oversee all RMNCH Consultants and others as needed.
- Organize closely with other government and development work collaboratively programs in the State.
- Support to and organize with the programme’s M&E (Monitoring and evaluation) team on initiatives to guarantee that the programme meets set targets in accordance with national and USG guidelines.
- Stand for programme at national and state level participant sessions and technical operating groups in engagement to RMNCH and associated technical zones.
Management:
- Support to yearly work organizing, development strategies and every quarter documentation and other necessary technical documentation.
- Offer direction on the prompt, precise and suitable status updates of programme initiatives and outcomes.
- Support and guarantee standard programme execution regular with MOH Nigerian Standard procedures, worldwide industry standards which includes guidance on applicable latest health progress updates & publications.
- Organize the assessment of programme advancement against outputs on a every quarter basis.
- With the MCGL executive team, supervise programme design, execution, QA and supervising of work strategy.
- Organize with the other members of the technical team, FMoH, SWAp team and NGO associates to formulate and execute feasible facility and locally-driven approaches.
- Execute other obligations as allocated by manager which support to the accomplishment of programme targets.
