Position Overview

We are looking for a inspired and meticulous Fiber Optic Engineer Internship to assist our engineering team during planning phase, installation, running test, and servicing & maintenance of fiber optic networks. This is an outstanding avenue to gain practical experience in the telecommunications industry while supporting to real-world structure projects.

Primary duties

• Help during planning phase and layout of fiber optic cable routes and network structure
• Assist the installation, splicing, and running test of fiber optic cables
• Collaborate with Geographic information system resources to record and modify fiber paths and network diagrams
• Execute signal loss measurements, OTDR running test, and diagnose issues network concerns with guidance
• Organize documentation and system manuals on fiber effectiveness and system setups
• Work alongside engineers, site technicians, and PMs on active deployments
• Follow standardized best practices and safety guidelines during all site work

Credentials

• At present pursuing a academic qualification in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a relevant field
• Basic comprehension of fiber optic principles, network topologies, and signal transmission
• Understanding with resources which includes OTDRs, power meters, and splicing machines will be an added advantage
• Skilled in Office productivity software
• Clear expression competencies and meticulousness
• Readiness to operate in both workspace and site environments
