About the Position

We are looking for a highly proficient and skilled Top level Accounting officer to supervise and oversee core accounting processes within our finance team. The preferred candidate will be in charge of directing entry-level account employees, getting ready thorough financial statements, making sure adherence with statutory rules, and assisting management with financial findings for strategic judgment. This position requires expert level in accounting methods, robust critical thinking, and reliable background using Tally, Peachtree, or similar financial system within an FMCG environment.

Primary duties

• Oversee and assist entry-level accounting officers in daily financial processes.
• Evaluate and authorize transaction entries, adjustments, and transaction postings.
• Organize and evaluate every month, every quarter, and yearly balance sheet and income statement.
• Carry out financial planning, supervising, and financial difference assessment.
• Oversee tax estimates, remittances, and statutory adherence (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.).
• Supervise bank adjustments, supplier/client account adjustments, and small expense fund management.
• Assist within and outside the organization audits by getting ready necessary plans and recordkeeping.
• Track operating capital, money movement, and spending regulates.
• Offer management with prompt financial statements and strategic guidance for process enhancements.
• Ensure accounting rules, regulates, and industry standards are firmly was aligned with.

Credentials & Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or associated discipline.
• ICAN accreditation (fully certified or last phase).
• 3–5 years progressive accounting expertise, with a minimum of 2 years in FMCG.
• Competence in financial system (Tally, Peachtree, or similar).
• Solid understanding of IFRS, tax legal provisions, and statutory adherence.
• Outstanding logical and finance reporting competencies.
• Executive guidance and supervisory expertise.
• High meticulousness, precision, and honesty and reliability.
• Clear expression and issue resolution abilities.
• Capability to operate under pressure and meet rigid due dates.
