Closed-circuit television Handler at Goldplates Feast House in Lagos

Position Overview

The Closed-circuit television Handler (Technical) is in charge of supervising all surveillance operational structures and making sure the technical capability of the Closed-circuit television structure across the company. The position blends surveillance supervising with basic IT assistance, making sure smooth process, diagnosing issues, and prompt escalation of Closed-circuit television-associated concerns to IT or external vendors.

IT assistance:

• Carry out consistent checks and preventive servicing & maintenance of all Closed-circuit television operational structures to guarantee capability.
• Diagnose issues minor technical faults (camera disconnections, wiring concerns, recording errors, NVR/DVR glitches).
• Report to higher support tier sophisticated concerns to the IT team or authorized vendors while making sure minimal non-operational time.
• Assist the setup of new cameras, relocation, or reconfiguration of Closed-circuit television operational structures in partnership with IT.
• Keep records of tools status, repairs, and system upgrades.

Adherence & Secrecy:

Ensure protection of the secrecy of all Closed-circuit television recorded content and information. Ensure surveillance processes match with organisation rules and information security legal provisions.

Other Obligations:

• Offer technical direction to the Guard team on Closed-circuit television use.
• Help management and audit teams in evidence collecting during inquiries.
• Execute any other guard or technical obligations allocated by the Chief security officer/Management.

Credentials & Competencies

• At least OND/Higher national diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or relevant field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Closed-circuit television processes with practical domain expertise.
• Understanding with Closed-circuit television software, DVR/NVR operational structures, IP cameras, and network-based surveillance.
• Capability to diagnose issues Closed-circuit television software & hardware concerns.
• Robust observational competencies and meticulousness.
• High level of honesty and reliability, secrecy, and competence.
• Capability to operate changes (day/night) and remain attentive under pressure.
